The production process at the factory is utter important because the precision, quality of the components and the completeness of a pre-engineered steel building project is guaranteed or not depending on production. For that reason, at SEICO, we strictly monitor this process.
Production process of pre-fabricated steel structures at SEICO's factory will be controlled by QA / QC engineers in all stages:
1. Check input materials
Main materials used for the production of steel components at SEICO are tested through the following steps:
[Picture to be updated...]
- Check the quality of CO, CQ [With focus image on the CO, CQ]
- Comparing with the requirements of the project
- Comparing with current standards
- Cut sample to experiment
- Test at third party laboratories (if required)
- Get the results of the experiment
- Put into production
2. Steel cutting
The steel structure components have two basic types: Shaped steel (or cast steel) and composite steel. Shaped steel from the metallurgical plant has predetermined shape, cutting steel means cutting off the excess so that the rest fit with design requirements. Steel composite is usually in rolls or sheets, depending on the design drawings, need to cut the plate to the desired shape and then combine the various steel plates to form the shape.
At SEICO, with strong investment and high automation system, we own different types of cutting technologies for production.
- Automatic cutting by laser
- Automatic cutting by plasma & oxygen
- Automatic cutting by sawing machine
- Automatic cutting by machine
- Automatic cutting by plate sawing machine
- Automatic cutting by circular saw
- Semi-automatic cutting by mechanical seal
3. Combination
Flange and web of components after cutting are precisely positioned and assembled by means of temporary welds.
4. Combined welding
After accurate assembly, the components are fed into the automatic welding machine. To ensure the correct welding technique and the best quality, the welded surface is checked by eye, the quality of welding line ultrasonic or magnetic / ultrasonic welding…The welding points ensure both the fine art quality as well as the new quality is passed.
5. Biting
The high temperature of the welding process can cause the components to warp. To ensure that the components are accurate in their installation, the components must be calibrated, straightened and checked before moving on to the next step.
6. Welding plate and stiffener plate
7. Surface cleaning and ball spraying
The processed components are transferred to the cleaning area. Here, the components are cleaned, surface rusted and treated with a ball sprayer before transfer to the final finishing work.
8. Painting
The durability of steel components during construction and during use depends on the surface of the coating to protect the structure from environmental influences. So at SEICO, the components are painted one coat of anti-rust paint and two layers of paint with color depending on the requirements of the investor.
